Terms of Service

When you place an order with Urban Adda, you and the house enter a contract: we agree to deliver the piece described in your order, and you agree to the price, the delivery timeframe and the terms set out here. These terms apply to every order placed through urbanadda.in.

Every piece shown is finished and held in stock. Once your order is confirmed, it is hand-packed and dispatched within two working days, then delivered by the house courier. Where a piece needs a little longer to reach you, we will tell you before it ships. Slight variations of shade and handwork between the photographed piece and yours are the nature of handloom and hand embroidery, not defects.

Orders are payable in full at the time of order, processed by Razorpay. All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of GST. An order is confirmed, and the contract formed, when payment is received and the house issues its written order confirmation.

You may cancel any order within twenty-four hours of placing it by writing to the concierge, for a full refund returned through Razorpay within five to seven working days. Beyond that window your piece may already be hand-packed and with the courier, though the concierge will always tell you exactly where it stands.

Should a piece not be right for you, write to the concierge within seven days of delivery and we will arrange its return, unworn and with tags intact, for exchange or refund. Fit is a different matter: your first alteration within six months of delivery is complimentary, as set out on our Alterations page. Should a piece arrive with a fault in material or making, the house will make it good, repair, remake or refund, at our cost, including carriage.

Delivery is by the house courier, insured to the full value of the piece, against signature at the address given in your order. Risk in the garment passes to you on delivery; title passes on payment. If delivery fails because the address given was incorrect, the concierge will arrange a second attempt at a time you choose.

The designs, patterns, photographs and text of the house remain the property of Urban Adda. Buying a garment buys the garment, warmly and with our thanks, but not the right to reproduce its design commercially.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. That said, write first to concierge@urbanadda.in. In our experience, most things resolve with a conversation.
